Almost every design tries to tie itself to a real world counterpart or is inspired by a scientific concept or idea, the vanilluxe line is literally just ice type pokemon that for no reason at all looks like a double scoop of vanilla ice cream. Compared to another ice type like Glalie and it really shouldn't be that hard to like. They're both floating ice creatures but while glalie has a more ambiguous inspiration vanilluxe just comes off as lazy and uninspired. Honestly it wouldn't look half as a bad if it didn't have the stupid ice straw.
