>>51200201Small, cute, personality. Not to shill the anime but Pikachu (Meowth notwithstanding obviously) goes out of its way to audibly use different phrasing for specific characters. I'm sure there's more, but if you rewatch Indigo League (and this continues up to present day but is most audible then), Pikachu will audibly call Ash "Pikapi" every time (after "Satoshi"), Misty is "Pikachupi" (Kasumi), and Togepi is "Pipipi" (just Togepi). Pikachu goes out of the way to bond that significantly to others. Also it's just really cute, as stated. Good fucking Pokemon.
