I just started this game for the first time and I want to KILL Barry already even if I get fined 10 million dollars . Jesus, I haven't even gotten my starter yet.
Also, any advice to make this game more bearable?

Starly and Chimchar are pretty good together. Try to get Gyarados/Floatzel as well.

Infernape can rape both Empoleon and Torterra. Although all of them are decent starters (best trio), don't le Barry take Chimchar.

Do you really want Barry of all people getting Infernape? I remember him giving it focus blast of all moves...

I don't mind if you pick Turtwig, but That's one of the main reason I hardly pick it.

It's better than in DP. Although you don't play a main series game for the story. if you wanna play for the story, play PMD.

Platinum is a pretty big game. I enjoyed the heck out of it. Box your started and use the mons you get at the beginning for added difficulty

I tried without Defog, and it was more annoying than anything, more than no-Flash caves. And yes you only need it once. The guys that deletes moves is in the next town you visit, guess where I went after this part...
