Some anon's idea that each type would have a "trait," Kind of like an ability, but type-wide. There were some decent ideas thrown around.

on top of weaknesses and resistances every type had two effects tied to it similar to abilities. One effect was positive one negative. For instance Steel had the "reactive" trait I believe, resisted hits do 0.33 damage and super effective hits do 2.5x damage

Standard attacks increase it normally, se even more, nve not as much, and crits give it a 2x increase. That would be fucking awesome.
