Blues was great. Him swiping the title right before you at the end was awesome and his team had varied typing which was a big plus.
Lance was disappointing and easy, the Red battle made up for it but Lance is still the league champ so can't rate gen 2s Champ.
Steven was a very solid one. His character was a mysterious and interesting mentor. Him turning out to be the Champ was great and he put up a good fight. The fight wasn't as personal or intense as Blue but it was a big step up from Lance.
Cynthia was again pretty good, her varied typing made the fight a lot of fun design wise and the music was solid. Her character was fun enough too, I rate her about evenly with Steven. The fight is better but Steven was a better character.
For BW I don't know where to start. N? Ghetsis? Alder? I mean Alder is obviously the Champ but he's postgame. N's fight is the champ fight I guess since he beat Alder like Blue...but its not really an official league fight. But having the legendaries was sweet. Then there's Ghetsis. Well in any case I liked what they did with they BW finale, it was fresh, exciting and well executed.
The Champ Alder himself was just kinda dull though. His character wasn't that interesting, the arena was bland and the music was bland. His team is decent and all but this is probably my least favorite of the Champ fights.
As for Iris I thought it was a surprising and awesome direction to go in. It looks great, it sounds great, the fight is great and while every other Champ just chased Blue's "epic serious battle" atmosphere Iris's battle is bouncy and fun, its totally fresh and maintains all of the intensity you want from a Champ fight. Her fight has its own identity. I also really liked how the visual effect has the lights moving towards you. It really have to feeling of this huge energy coming from Iris as you fought an uphill battle against her pressure.
I don't know whether I prefer her or Blue though
