They neutralize Dragon so Garchomp won't get locked into Outrage and suffer confusion and can switch into something else like Earthquake against Fairies

to my understanding, we've only ever seen 1 fairy in a full battle, and it may have been slow, but it also took that rain powered STAB hydropump fairly well.
It seems bulky for the one we have seen.

I think a STAB rain hydro pump is a bit different from a Sand Force Mega Evo boosted Iron Head 2x

True, but that one battle is the only thing we can base it off of, and from the looks of it they are pretty bulky.
Also, keep in mind fairy was made to counter dragons, which means they might have just as extensive movepools as dragons do, maybe even better.
Like i said here>>13954419 garchomp is slower in mega, maybe he will be slower than most fairies at that point
