This is what I hate about Mega Pokemon most of all. Basically if you don't have a Mega form you're instantly at a disadvantage, and yet Megas have been given almost exclusively to Pokemon who don't need them, like Gyarados, Gengar and fucking Garchomp. It's deepening the divide between GameFreaks "favorite" Pokemon with favorable stats and the rest of the Pokedex which is essentially trash by comparison.
