In an old thread, i suggested Australia, one of the Pokemon could be a Berry Bush mimic; what i'd dubbed Apocalyptus; a Fire/Grass Pokemon, with multiple abilities to imply what strand/quality of the berries was grown. it may possibly shed its leaves as a form difference by evolving a Koala pokemon in the party, with the implication that it ate the leaves.
Seriously though, Eucalyptus trees can explode randomly due to the oil, or shed large branches, heard they can kill people....unsure if there's native spiders that normally nests in them, but that's another thing to worry about.
