My team is really weak to Talonflame. I tried using Azumaril to counter it but the priority bravebird always goes before aqua jett. What do you guys use to counter this stupid bird?

My Azumaril is a very good counter to it, is the one you are using got correct IV's / nature / ability.

Are you playing in doubles? It is really not a threat there at all

It has 81 base attack.

Anything with a decent Defense stat and some proper EV investment will laugh at it.

Also Barbaracle. Talonflame can't do shit to it. Gives you a free Shell Smash, essentially.

Hp/Atk. Donphan with headsmash and earthquake completely tanks and oneshots aegislash and talonflame without breaking a sweat. Throw ice shard in there and 4x those retarded Gliscors and Dragonites. He can't learn stealth rock in gen 6 yet so people stopped using him completely. Fools. Get rapid spin and switch him in on Klefki. Klefki cant use thuder wave on you because you are ground, you can spin away his hazard AND oneshot the fucker with EQ.

My bro Donphan checks all the faggotry this gen. My fav mon just keeps getting more and more solid.

You'd be much better just using Head Smash on Dragonite, really, as without STAB Ice Shard do pitiful damage (it will only 3HKO it). And even then with +Atk nature and 252 EVs you can only 2HKO a 0/0 one with Head Smash.

Very few things outspeed Talonflame though, it has very mediocre attack and shit defenses in exchange for huge speed even outside of priority.

Update: By tweaking Ferro's EVs a bit, this happens:

252 Atk (custom) [Talonflame] Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 52+ Def Ferrothorn through Reflect in sun: 296-350 (84.09 - 99.43%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

So Ferro lives the hit and puts up rocks/spikes/seeds. You get the idea.
