I didn't think too much about it I guess. I just picked ones that didn't seem too terribly stereotyped but decently strong and the type of nobly savage pokemon that May could tame the hearts of (Besides Blaziken and Gardevoir, who I'd imagine would be the civilized 'mons that get to roam around with her outside of their balls.
