imo using any legendary is bad etiquette, but I have a particular dislike of legendaries in general. Articuno specifically isn't because he's pretty shit, with all those weaknesses.

Depends. Some people get anal over any legendary, but others (the smart ones) know that Articuno isn't overpowered like Mewtwo and Xerneas.

Even the former would recognize that Articuno isn't too powerful.

Same thing, legal in the official Nintendo competitive format. The birds, the dogs, the golems, the latis, the pixies, the musketeers, the kamis, heatran, cresselia, regigigas are all legal in VGC and Rated battles.

If people complain about them they are uninformed.
