Question: I'll delete this thread if I get a definitive answer.

Is it possible for Ampharos to learn Reflect in X/Y? I've been trying to breed onto it with no luck.

Reflect is a TM, I don't know if Ampharos can learn it though

I checked Serebii first, but Reflect is absent from Ampharos's X/Y page entirely.

It's 5th Gen page lists it as a Gen III/IV only egg move, yet Smogon still lists Ampharos as having Reflect in its current move set.

I didn't know any Pokemon ever had a possible move removed like that, which is why I asked.

You should probably see what has to pass Reflect down to a Mareep then. If Serebii doesn't list it then you should probably check if the pokemon passing down can't be obtained without Pokebank.

I put Reflect on a Smeargle. But it didn't work. I suspect that GameFreak purposefully removed Ampharos' Reflect in this gen.

Not quite sure I understand what you're saying. I tried using that Smeargle to breed Reflect onto a Mareep, but it didn't take.

I guess if I wait for Pokebank I can get a Mareep in HG/SS with Reflect and bring it over... (but that means nature and IV breeding in HG/SS)
