Against certain mons, it can wall with rocky helmet, recover, and avalanche. He's one of those guys that lasts forever if you can't OHKO him.

That would really depend on what you use it for. If the guy has other mons on his team that need rapid spin support then it's pretty fine using it.

With some SDef investment he can survive most non-SE special attacks even without Sturdy, which lets him Roar them out if needed

If they send in the special attacker, you switch out. Period. The Sturdy Mirror Coat is like a dedicated destiny bond lead with no other purpose. Under a single Curse, I'm fairly sure Mega Blaziken Max attack+ Flare Blitz can 3HKO. Between recover and Stone Edge / Earthquake, you can take him on. Avalanche lets you hit dragons, but can't do shit to fire.

You can see they have advantages. Pick one based on what you have on the rest of the team. Also, if you want to avalanche for boosted strength, or get an earthquake in after aigislash stance change, 0 speed IVs and relaxed nature is the way to go.

Yeah, I'd say quite bad. If you predict a special move while at max HP, you get a free knockout. But then you are at 1HP and no chance of recovering unless you can really outspeed whatever they send in. Even then, it's dependent on you being at full health, predicting a special attack that'll OHKO, and taking up a moveslot. With bad 4MSS, we need to conserve space. If I had more rapid spin support on my team, I'd drop that for EQ to compliment Avalanche.

Depends how you want to play it. It's still a 1 for 1 and they could be losing a strong special attacker. Or, you could save it for later and switch out.

MegaMedicham is a special case. The rest were banded.
Personally, I was calculating super effective STAB from common high tier threats in the XY metagame. Frankly, I forgot Medicham had a mega, but eh. Nice digging around for them.
