Even Bayleef if you evolve it should be able to deal with Steelix easily. It has low Sp Def and Meganium has Razor Leaf.

Damnit I was worried about this, I chose to main pidgeot instead so bayleef is lvl19

Also I have more pokemon, just they are all lvl 15 or so.

Also my rod only catches magikarp

We'll in red I had a lvl 76 kadabra. I probably pressed b on evolution or something cuz I didn't have alakazam. But kadabra pretty much 1 shot everything so I didn't need 6. I had 2 hm pokemon which were there to use flash and shit.

I know Gen 2 is to be treated as an expansion to Gen 1, but they severely limit the experience of finding new mons when you need to already beat the E4 and half of the gym leaders dont even have trump-card Pokemon you'd never seen before them, thus making you want them when getting ruined by them

I remember seeing it in the nintendo official magazine capture guide and it was as elusive to me as the blacked out #251 Celebi.

I don't think I ever found one in the originals on cycling road, only saw Blaine use it and at that time my overleveled feraligatr was a bit too much for him.
