the battle resort is the new name for battle frontier, it's basically the same from what I saw. EXP Share is back to normal, it's a held item that only gives EXP to one other Pokemon.

I remember having a dream about XY a few months before they came out.

The setting was in an ornate, outdoor Parisian mall of sorts, with escalators and shops lining the different floors. I was walking around as the player character, interacting with the NPCs and exploring.
