Is ORAS a good reboot even with all the gen 6 adjustments and shit?

Serious question, /vp/

I'm looking at picking up ORAS, now I know for the most part it'll be a good reboot. But does the mega evolution digimon bullshit ruin the game? Or is it included in a way that still feels like Pokemon and not Digimon. Also the addition of Fairy type, does that impact much at all? The last Pokemon I bought was Soul Silver so I'm kinda on the fence here considering X/Y looked gay as fuck.

It feels less like R/S than the past two remakes felt like their respective originals. That's not so much to do with Mega Evolution or the Fairy type though, since those things are surprisingly unobtrusive. It's more to do with the different overworld scale and some heavily changed areas and plot points.
Whether that's good or bad is up to you, though.

I have a feeling you don't know what Digimon is. Also ORAS is much better than X/Y but Mega Evolution is a key plot point for the post game so if it really gets you that upset I'd avoid the game

Fairy doesn't impact the game at all, I assume if you cared about competitive shit you wouldn't even need to ask here so as far as the SP campaign, the only fairy you'll even come across is Gardevoir, and the only change it makes is steel and poison hurt more, but gardevoir is frail as fuck anyway

Mega evolution also doesn't impact the story at all, there's like 3 mentions of it in the main story and most of it is "nice bracelet faggot"

Don't let VPs doomsday heralds influence your decision. That's not to say don't listen to criticisms, but don't listen to the dumbasses who claim that mega evolutions did anything to Hoenn

Just wanted to know if Game Freak went nuts with the Mega Evolution stuff considering it was basically 60% of the leaks we saw for X and Y lol.

Not OP but I am a fan of both Pokemon and Digimon and it didn't take me very long to see that Mega Evo = Burst Mode.

Not really since it's the trainer who activates it. If the pokemon underwent the transformation on its own then it would be like super saiyan.
