What about "Synchro Evolution"?

As much as I like the idea unironically, it needs to have something that seperates it from Megas... Maybe you can only Synchro with your last pokemon?

I hate Megas too, but I'll take them over weather wars.

I think Megas hurt shitty Pokemon that need an evolution most. Even if a Pokemon like Farfetch'd got a Mega, it would always be passed up for better ones, since you can only have one per team. It's too bad Megas probably killed cross gen evolutions.

Feels a tad too unelegant, since I imagine that people want more ways to Synchro. How about a Synchrometer?

That said, that would make it almost impossible to pull off synchro evolution in a format like VGC.

"Megas" didn't kill anything, GameFreak did. They listened to the backlash caused by gen 4 cross-gen evolutions and reacted accordingly.
