Whose artstyle is better?
Do you prefer the softer, less harsh lines of Sugi, or the more vibrant, defined work of the new guy?

Sugimori is by far the better artist, at least for Pokemon. He's been there since the beginning and his style just fits better.

I don't really care about whether modern Sugi or Ohmori are better, neither really appeals to me. I guess I'd place modern Suigmori higher just because he doesn't give every other female squirrel teeth.

I have played the games since the beginning and don't know how you guys tell apart who made what art other than the obvious water color to digital change. When you talk about line work and shit I'm just like it looks the same? Can you give pointers or something?

I want vector drawing to go so goddamn badly.

I can't stand it- any hack "graphic designer" can make blobs look like creatures. Vector drawing has turned cartoons lifeless. Its like there was a tradeoff:

Skilled artist teams with actual talent who required more time to do animations

vs

Vector speed-drawers who are paid less and can pump out animations.

Both are good but for this Gen I think they're trying to fit the sunny feel of Alola way too Hard with the Colour schemes and Designs of each of the new Pokemon.
