Well actually the form change makes weakfish really strong, but i don't think weakfish would survive a hit in the first place for it to change form.

1. Ability needs a level.
2. Ability went away after the Pokemon was hit.
Either it's HP-based(making it a lot like the bird fossil) or it's more like Aegislash(attacking triggers the form, but getting hit removes it).

i actually fear that attacking makes it change its form back because i dont want another super squishy sweeper or to have to watch this single fish form in a walkthrough.

sadly it would make much sense for a swarm based pokemon to change back when getting attacked since real fish swarms behave the same i guess

I highly doubt it. I think a more sound prediction would be that the form wears off around 10-30% HP left. If the School Form is still pure Water and it has a high HP stat, it could likely stomach at least two super-effective attacks. Having the fish scramble after one hit would make the ability pointless.

The School Form is permanent, with a marginal stat buff compared to other Megas, an ability of its own, and perhaps a secondary type to boot.
