I have a friend working in QA with the SM team, and he recently gave me some insight on some of the unanswered questions that have been going around. How he got the information he can't tell me, which makes even me skeptical, but I might as well post it anyway.
First off, Ultra Beasts. They are not so different from the side legendary trios that already exist, like genies and lake guardians. They are only different in the sense that there are quite a few more than just the 3 that we already know of.
Colress will NOT be part of the post game episode, but rather just a target for more lore. Have fun figuring that story out.
The "marriage" rumor that has come up a few times is actually not too far off of a new mechanic that's being introduced. Though it's not quite as fanfic-y as it sounds, it is definitely something that just barely made the cut due to how far it strays off of the goals for a pokemon game.
There will, of course, be event-exclusive mythical pokemon that will be sent out after the games release, but that's not all. There will also be new arena textures, character customization options, and even cosplay pikachu skins that will only be released via events.
There will be legendary pokemons available in the same way as they were in ORAS, but this time they will be available to catch before catching the box legendary (which is after the E4, surprisingly enough)
I'm also just making all of this up on the fly. I thought this would be funny since there's so many leak threads up right now but after typing this for so long I'm beginning to hate my own jokes. I would appreciate as many (You)s as possible to make me feel better. Thanks for listening.
