When the new gen coming, i was wondering, will you transfer all your mons to gen 7? Or you will only transfer the competitive ones and/or the ones you used as your main party?
Will you leave some of your mons behind so that you can still play gen 1/6?

Since Gen III I've always transferred all my pokémon to the next gen games, leaving my character with a mid level, flying pokémon with fly in case I still need something from the game.

You don't have the ability to use PHBank?3DS firmware up to 11.0.33 can do homebrew,11.1 needs steelhax.

Not him but is it possible to use that to get my guys off of a japanese black and white cart? I hacked my 3DS so it should be able to play japanese ds games right?

Working on a living dex. Won't have it ready in time, but I'm making sure to have the big stuff ready, mainly mons that evolve by trade, box legendaries, and third-stage mons.

This way, if I don't transfer EVERYTHING up, I can just breed to get the mons I'm missing.

I'd assume that you could just trade them to a physical BW cart matching your region, and upload them from there.

Then again, MHGen and MHX have their LOCAL MULTI regionlocked. Never tried local trades with different regions of pokemon games, but it could be the same way.

I have a living dex already, but I'm slowly working my way to getting an Unown collection to go with my Vivillion one. I wanna transfer my living dex and collections over.

How exactly will transferring with gen7 work? Will it just not let gen6 games access the boxes of mons transferred to 7 or something?

I'll transfer any pokemon that will be unavailable in SM, a 6 IV Ditto and that's it. To me any new gen is a fresh start, which means no old bros and restarting the pokedex from scratch. Also I hope the method to get HA is not stupidly complicated, but I don't think it will. If that's the case however I'll transfer some mons with HA I care about as well
