Grass still sucks

They're supposed to be trinity and equal with Fire and Water. How come grass has the most weakness, gets outclassed by Water defensively and get outclassed by both Water and Fire offensively?

Fire is offensive, Water is defensive. Grass is the technical type. It spreads around status, it can restore and drain health.

I would say it's the defensive type because it's got a boatload of resistances. It just doesn't usually work out because they gave it a boatload of weaknesses too.
