That "Pokemon Stars" rumor, if true, could just be the code name. Otherwise, it's probably because most people differentiate the Sun as one big ball of fire, and stars as shiny twinkly things in space, regardless of the fact it's all the same shit.

But seriously this gen is feeling very B/W style. Anime rebooted and is even worse. Games are GOAT tier. If Stars is real it's one of two things either a bw 2 like game or considering the ending and what we learn in the post game about fallers attract ultra-beasts which Lillie and Lusamine both are and both are going to Kanto. As unfortunate as it is Sinnoh might not be the remake (otherwise known as the Kanto of the megaverse being seen for the first time this gen in games

On that note, how much would you suppose there is of a change that "Stars" will be on both the NX and 3DS? It seems odd that GF would follow Nintendo and force us to the NX/Switch mid-generation. They even held back BW2 on the DS when the 3DS was already out. Doesn't seem their style, but who knows what they'd do.

Considering the NX is also a handheld and having a pokemon game on the system might cause it's beginning sales to actually be half way decent I actually don't think it will be on the 3ds as well. The wii u did terrible on launch and gamefreak doesn't want nintendo to have horrible sales. If Stars ends up being in Kanto like the ending makes it seem possible then this only reinforces how much it would boost the NX sales because of nostalgia fags and Go away fags

the only reason BW2 where not on 3ds is because 3ds was retrocompatible, anyway if they do a 3rd version is probably gonna be switch only to boos the sales of the new console, at most it will be for new 3ds and switch only, o3ds is already lagging too hard with vannilla Sun/Moon

As far as I see it Stars has a 90% chance of taking place in kanto because of the ending. Don't get me wrong because of the aether foundation I'm positive we'll get sinnoh remakes/new games this gen. Aether having a branch or maybe even the main branch confirmed in the type null lab all but confirms sinnoh will get a game this gen. Oh and Faba's pc confirms the Aether in Alola is just a side branch

3DS is already on its last years. Pokemon will have to make the Switch sooner or later, and by the looks of it they chose to do sooner. Also SM looks like they were built with the Switch in mind because the battle UI could very well go into the portable screen without being intrusive in the least and Totem battles need the increased processing power the Switch would provide.

Did you forget that B2W2's main legendary was Kyurem, the gray dragon thing? They probably made two versions because money.
Stars is highly possible to happen, either as "Stars" or Sun2/Mon2 or whatever.

I would bet money that they were working on Z but scrapped it and turned it into a new Gen. because of the arrival of the 20th anniversary.
That's the only explanation I can think of having Greninja and Zygarde's alt. forms on a next-gen game, Zygarde cells all over Alola and Z-Moves called "Z".
That being said, THANK GOD that Z didn't happen.
