Personally I needed a way to to homebrew . Not necessarily for injection, but because I wanted to randomize my moon game to play. So thank you. But why do people constantly think that's the right way to go. The whole point of Pokémon is to catch it and train it yourself. I waited until like basically this year to Homebrew my Wii and even then it's the Wii Mode on my Wii U, only because I found out that it was as easy as inserting an SD Card with the right files and then launching Smash's Stage Builder.

Is this method as easy as that for 3DS homebrew? I'd love to start editing my game in PkHeX. I imagine that this exploit gets you started on getting homebrew, and then you have to figure out how to get your Pokemon save file from there and bring it to your computer?

No, the game doesn't check for those. You can have a perma Mega Altaria or a Primal Groudon if you want. The Prison Bottle and Hoopa are among two of the only pokemon that have that built-in stipulation, presumably because Gamefreak and Nintendo were so confident in their mastery of 2004 era technology that they did not bother to add checks for those other instances

Cool, I might buy a new 3ds soon and try this because I want to keep my working, main 3ds clean just in case. I have a hacked old 3ds with a broken hinge too that I use only to hack things with PkHex, but it's banned so it would be nice to have a 3ds that could both be used to hack and play games.

technically for a N3DS (or a 3DS with a MicroSIM and Adapter) you could use the MicroSD card slot on your phone or tablet to do this

with homebrew you wouldn't really need to update. On the N3DS you can use cttr-pwn for all online functions for all games. On the 3DS this works but only for the less demanding games, so you wouldn't be able to go online with Pokemon Sun/Moon, Monster Hunter games, Smash, and I think Hyrule Warriors, but I'm not sure if it even has online functionality

The games I listed are the games that WON'T work with cttr-pwn on an O3DS. Everything else will work as expected: Animal Crossing, X and Y, Street Fighter, whatever.

In regards to Pokemon Sun and Moon some online functions work but others don't. Not sure why. You can access QR codes and Mystery Gift but nothing else.

Do you mean cart or save? I ruined my Pokemon X cart by backing up my Alpha Sapphire save to it once, but then I sold it to GameStop so it was all good. If you fuck up the game save then there's a tool that will let you restart and reinject your backup. I don't remember what it's called desu

you need to downgrade to go online with SM, but you can use PkHex for everything except battling. You could Inject anything that you would need traded to you, unlock every fashion item, etc.

Doing this stuff is only bad when it gives you an advantage other players couldn't have. If I hack a perfect ditto to save time breeding, it's not an issue because the pokemon it makes are just as good as ones you could get legitimately. If I'm using it to get bank pokemon early or perma-megas, then it's an issue and unfair. I wouldn't think anyone past the age of 8 or so would do that, though.

That's literally it. I don't want to inject. I don't like it. It's not for me. I enjoy the monster raising part of the game as much as the battling part. I am a huge sucker for monster raising games, which Pokemon mostly caused, but I fucking love them none the less.

Download that and in the homebrew menu when you're about to boot JKSM, navigate using left or right to PokeBank and run it through that
Than within the app, go to the SD card section and extract the save

Also doesn't really need a guide. Just delete your save files, then run the OoThax installer (I think it's still in the starter kit), make sure you select the version of the 3DS you're using, and let it run. To get into the menu through OoT, you just start the hacked save file and hit A.

See I edit my mon on Pkhex export the new main file on sd card rewritting old file, launch homebrew on 3ds import new file, reboot console open the game get to the pc and the mons are just unmodified, don`t know what im doing wrong really since i get no error message at any point and I think i`m following the steps right

i downloaded both the openapp and the other one. renamed them both 'openapp.bin' and they both make an error when i play he file and the ds restarts.

Fasthax is going to be coming out soon and will supposedly allow legit cias to run on 11.2 though, which is a good start I guess.

If you aren't retarded about it it's ultimately no different from getting it through a trade or /vp/ giveaway. I personally always inject at pretty low levels and raise them up myself, I even give them mediocre IVs sometimes if I just intend on using them for story playthroughs. Making lemons out of shitty lemonade and loving/investing time in "sub-optimal" mons is one of my favorite things about the series in general.

I'll still make some perfect ones here and there for wondertrading or fucking around in battle facilities though.
