Anybody hit luck on the gts lately? Back before bank updated for gen 7 I got a buncha UBs and legends for dhelmise, scizor, etc. What's selling hot right now?

A lot of reasonable trade requests get picked up quickly, so the ones that get left up there are the dumb trades.

If you want something off the GTS, your best bet is breeding something that isn't obtainable in the current games. I used Tauros to complete my dex in OR. Got everything but some legends which I got off /vp/ by either giveaways or touch trading with WFG. I bet you could do something similar with Mr. Mime or something that isn't obtainable in the current gen without trading.

I once did an OR wonderlocke and on the first route I traded like a Wingull or Zigzagoon or something in wondertrade and got a Volcanion.

That sucks because you can't in any way initiate a trade and steal them.
I remember back in gen 4 and 5 some people used shiny and shit to show off and asked for stuff like level 1 Mewtwo and such, then people on /v/ and later /vp/ would inject level 1 Mewtwos or whatever they asked and initiate the trade.

That's one use of injecting I 100% approve of.

Nigga I just want a basic Celestellia, You don't have to train it at all, you can have one of my Kartanas, I only need one anyway. I just want to get all the UBs in my pokedex

No. I've always been able to get version exclusives and legendaries fairly quickly through GTS. If you request the trade yourself and you offer something at least somewhat equivalent in value (version exclusive for version exclusive, legendary for legendary, etc), you'll get a trade really quickly.

I played Sun after taking a two-year break from Pokemon, so because of that I went in with fresh eyes and not knowing what new Pokemon are there and what characters I'll meet. I was excited to see Wonder Trade again, and one of the very first Pokemon I got was Type: Null. I didn't think it was important at the time (since I saw one before Gladion's first appearance), so I traded it away.

I also managed to score a Shiny Gligar via Wonder Trade in Alpha Sapphire, but I feel bad for keeping it. I wish I could find the original owner, but that will never happen.

1. Pull a starter from a previous gen from your bank.
2. Breed the fucker like crazy.
3. Enjoy putting your newly obtained stock of starters up for trade and getting whatever you want short of a legendary.

The GTS is the best thing to happen to the series since the Physical/Special split.
