0 or 1 mythical = 1 movie left for SM, so Gen 8 next year
2 or more mythicals = probably 2 movies left for SM, so Gen 8 in 2019

Lucario's and Zoroark's movies had Mew and Celebi, pokémon that up to that point had only gotten events for the GameBoy era (which weren't transferable to Gen 3/4), small-scale distributions here and there, and super obscure shit like the bonus Celebi from japanese Colosseum.
That's not the case for any other Gen 1-6 mythical now, as wi-fi events make them easy as fuck to get, so there's no reason to make a movie distribution with ONLY old mythicals unless they want to lose some $$$.

So if there's 2 or more mythicals, what will the next games be then? More Gen 7? I don't see how a mythical count would determine release year.

Victini - 2011 movie

Keldo - 2012 movie

Genesect - 2013 movie

They were distrbuted events for pre release tickets of movies

Diancle - 2014

Hoopa - 2015

Volcanian - 2016

Magarena gen 7 mythical was in 2016 movie

Marshadow - 2017 movie

There is no more mythical left for 2018 movie. So they would to use gen 8 Pokemon but they don't if mythical is datamine in USUM
