What is the overall genwunner consensus on Alola Forms? /vp/ claims it was Kanto pandering at its finest, but as someone who started with Yellow, I can't help but hate the Alola Forms. They feel more like replacements than supplements, which is what Megas were. In fact a lot I feel could've been Megas or cross-gen evos/split evos (pretty much all of the non-Ice ones).

They're not even good at worldbuilding by adding realistic evolution to the Pokemon world, due to how retarded breeding them is. And Raichu/Marowak/Exeggutor effectively are cross-gen evos. Overal Alola Forms just feel like a big mess, far more than Mega Evolution.
