Do you think Self_Destruct and Explosion should have been nerfed in Gen V or should they have kept the defense halving property? How would an unnerfed Explosion or Self-Destruct in the current Meta and what other moves should have this property if any?

Still I sort of doubt they'd be used today if they weren't. Other than basically as u-turn/volt switch

Team preview killing the concept of leads and suicide leads especially was a significant reason Explosion dropped off in power as well. Though the nerf was obviously also a factor.

I don't think any other move can really justify the effective power doubling that Explosion or Self-Destruct has
