I'm thinking about replaying the Gamecube Pokemon titles by Genius Sonority.

Does /vp/ know any good challenge runs for Colosseum and Gale of Darkness?
One idea I had for GoD was using only the 6 Shadow Pokemon captured from the hexagon brothers. A monotype run is possible in Colosseum, but it would take half the game to capture all 6 of the Water-type Shadow Pokemon.

Just playing the game. The only available mons are Johto shitmons.

If you are emulating, try Pokemon XG. It's a great Gen 6 mechanic romhack of GoD and it's actually a really good challenge in it's own right, especially if you actually want to catch ALL of the Shadow Pokemon.

You're just proving my point. All of these are only available late game. For the vast majority of the game you're using shitmons.
And yes, Umbreon IS a shitmon.

The game is super easy and even short for what the game gives you, all you have to do is constantly rebattle a trainer in some place like Pyrite and you're good, I honestly found it faster than Mt. Battle. OP asking for a challenge run is warranted.

Umbreon doesn't die to having rocks thrown at its face and between its defenses, Toxic, Moonlight and its design, I would never take Espeon over Umbreon unless I was high.

The creator of XG made this, but it doesn't look like it's been changed nearly as much.
If you homebrew your Wii you can actually play the hacks on there. Lots of fun.
