Are they predetermined after catching or after purifying? Kinda suck cuz I wanna get specific natures and they’re shown as “???” when caught.

Pretty sure they're predetermined because of the static stats before purification.
Do the stats show as ????
If not, just calculate upon capture.

They're predetermined when combat begins; just buy 15-20 Vivid Scents, save before the battle, and keep catching it and using those scents until the heart gauge is reduced to where the Nature is shown. Or calculate, but honestly it'd probably take about the same amount of time either way.

Agate Village Pokemart, so if you're wanting Croconaw early on, you'll have to rely on calculating (and I don't know of any resources you can use).

You can use an IV calculator to some effect. Change the natures and note the stats that are invalid with each nature to figure out which stats could be affected

Alternatively, if you're cool with hacking, use homebrew to get your save file and edit its nature with the Colo/xD save editor
