Post yfw you get Switch Kanto remakes and they don't include the Sevii Islands

They would have to include Ponyta, Magmar, and Moltres back to Kanto

Also, islands are useful to make genwunners happy by not adding new Pokemon to Kanto and keeping them avaliable in game

They'll replace the Sevii Islands with a watered-down Alola (like how Kanto was watered-down in Gen 2) where you can catch Alola forms (and evolve Pikachu, Exeggcute, and Marowak into their Alola forms)

Close. I bet they'll say the tropical weather of the island close enough resembles Alola and that'll be that.
Maybe even throw in some climate change stuff as an excuse for why it didn't work in frlg.
