We've already seen this, it's just the way the Pokemon are displayed in the Gen 7 Pokedex. Nowhere in the patent are actual, physical cards ever mentioned.

And the new CEO is a marketing dude, what else would you expect? Consoles and handhelds will never be bigger than mobile gaming at this point.

Very much agree. The games can be shit but I want to have a full new dex again instead of catching the same shit ive been catching for 20 years with a 10% chance of encountering a new one

There's data in the Gen7 games were supposed to link up to Pokémon Go, but nothing ever came from it, probably because gamefreak were too incompetent to get it working.

While it wouldn't surprise me, that's probably more Niantic's fault.

Theyve admitted to be way behind because they've spent so much time fighting cheaters (as if they're ever going to stop them all).

It was 6 months only a year in, so they're probably over a year behind now.
