They were working on USUM before SM launched, so they were aware of how much of a mistake SM was. Their fix didn't solve shit, but I can at least appreciate the intention

I heard that once Sun and Moon were complete, the younger team (and Ohmori) started USUM and the older team started on the Switch game. I don't know how true that is.
