>>35840196Probably because they wanted Gen 5 to stand entirely on its own. Which in retrospect is dumb, because they could have easily added an Evolution method for Luvdisc and made it so Alomomola needed an Incense to breed a Luvdisc. Then just stick the Incense in postgame so you can't get Luvdisc before the Elite 4 and it all works out.
