Is this the slowest game in the franchise? I'm finding it borderline unplayable without speeding it up. If it weren't for the announcer I'd be muting it, playing it on 2.5x speed, and listening to a podcast or something.

Colosseum is also very slow.
>only double battles
>no option to turn attack animations off
>some moves also show the whole animation of the hit Pokemon recovering to its idle animation

But Stadium 2's were adjusted just fine. It's just Stadium 1 being kinda clunky.

Also let's not pretend it's because of that, Z-moves exist.

I am genuinely not following. I found most of the animations very snappy. It's the Genius Gamecube games that can take too long.

Agree. I recently replayed XD and it really feels slow sometimes. The Hyper Mode in Colosseum making you lose a whole turn and looking at your Pokemon standing doesn't help, either.

It still takes less time than the Cube games can. At worst the sound effect of their second click will be still be playing when you've made your obvious selection, and if your move requires even a moment's thought there is no difference.

Stadium is a novelty game where the appeal is that Pokemon are in 3D and are animated, so it being sluggish is much more forgivable than a mainline title.
