But thanks to Kalos they've gone too far off in the intended direction, Kodomoshit, and now it's just a SoL where quite literally nothing happens except for meme faces.

If Ash had won, it would've been the goat Ashnime. Honestly the writers are retarded. Alola could've been written as a vacation spot because winning the league isn't becoming the champion, plus Alola anime is pretty much slice of life anyways. Ash's kidnapping would've had more of an impact as well as he's the League Winner, one of the strongest trainers in the region is captured by Team Flare. They could've made a cop out with the E4 having to help with rebuilding the Kalos region and thus not being able to battle Ash or they battle Ash and Ash gets his ass handed to him by the first E4 member. Oak tells him about Alola and how he deserves a well deserved vacation for his performance and thus Ash decides to vacation in Alola while leaving Greninja to protect Kalos.

It was actually pretty good, not as good as Alola (best in the series). Also genwars are against the rules, but since 90% lately have been spammed by that pr company hired by sony, I'm wasting my time explaining it.
