I haven't played PU, but I've brought shitty teams filled with PU and NU mons into OU and UU and won.

if you want to be a gym leader gain some actual experience and either peak the monotype ladder or hit 1600 in OU using one type. if you know what you're doing enough that you think you've earned the title it shouldn't be an issue

I'm not a competetive battler because I don't use trolly tactics, I feel bad using more than one or two Legis, don't use Megas or Z moves and I tend to pick Pokemon I like over the objectively 'better' choices.

I tend to pick safer moves than using risky ones or lots of set up.

Yeah, I handicap myself.

I have about 60 teams: some attempt to cover all the bases typewise so have some odd move choices, some are monotype and some follow a theme (DragonBall team, My Little Pony Team, Naruto team, farmyard animals team etc) and dumb stuff like that.
