Buying a waifucard is about buying your waifu, not about playing the cardboard stockmarket.
That said, i'm a magic player and i know all about playing the cardboard stockmarket, so i'll give it a shot. However, i have never played pokemon TCG so i'm talking entirely out of my ass.
I have no idea what these cards do, but if i remember correctly "Professor ______" is just a functional reprint of Oak. So each of these cards likely overlaps with other older supporter cards.
Since AFAIK, pokemon doesn't have an eternal format worth playing, a rotato is only as valuable as it is collectible. Waifu cards are best picked up after rotation when their in-game value is 0 and their skirting only off of collector value. Then when the card is reprinted in standard and the promo price shoots up you sell them for a mild profit.
Now, cardboard stockmarket aside, every one of these cards are a full 10/10 from me and i want ALL of them.
