If you love cheeseburgers you might want to try new toppings in addition, but you aren't going to accept someone replacing the cheese with a smear of glue, you mental invalid. Even if you loved eating glue - which wouldn't surprise me from someone pulling out the innovation buzzword really meaning change for the sake of change, but I digress - you no longer have the cheeseburger you love.
As for the side content, it's not at all our fault Game Freak are too retarded to keep it in and add more of it as we go like they should've been since the move to 3DS.
If you truly love the series then Masuda and Ohmori thus far are the ONLY things you can possibly hate about this series since the former is the one who drives that stagnation and Ohmori is just making the games unreplayable on top of having no side content worth a damn.
Game Freak aren't very competent overall, but most of them in control positions have shown themselves capable, given the time that Masuda refuses to allow and Ohmori goes along with.
