This. GF have acually been consistent about SS being the core experience veteran players were looking forward to, when they announced Let's Go, they know exactly what keeps people buying these games is the core titles and they won't risk losing that again.

You are gonna be able to move shit to and back from all the current gen games
Go > LGPE > SM/USUM > Gen 8
Obviously I think they will do gen 8 shit like the time machine in GSC, with you being unable to move pokemon back if they have new moves, and obviously new mons won't be backwards compatible.

The graphic literally showed everything being able to move into Home, but only being able to move fromHome to SS and back (or in other words, how it worked in Gen VI - it goes into storage from everything from past Gen and can move freely between the newest Gen and Home again).
