Why do they keep using the same animals for the starters? Out of all the possible choices, they pick a monkey again?

Can we get some new animals please? Can we get an objectmon starter actually?

Same desu. I have nothing against Incineroar, I can understand his theme and have come to accept him, but even so I'd like to have an actual cat-into-panther starter. Or whatever other quadrupled feline that actually stays as one.

You do know the world is full of animals and imagination/creativity means that any could work as a starter, right? There's really no reason to limit yourself into using "known" animals. Look at Mudkip, pretty much no one knew what an axolotl was before him, but even so he became insanely popular, so that alone proves that a good design is all it takes. There's no need to go for the easy mode and pick birds, lizards, etc. several times.

“Birds and lizards” are not “known animals” they are taxon that represents a large group of animals. An axolotl (btw everyone who is not 12 knows what an axolotl is) is an amphibian, a frog. The frog starter has been repeated 3 times too with bulbasaur and froakie. The point was that the retard who said “3 birds” was trying to imply that birds are a single species when a chicken and owl and a penguin are obviusly 3 different animals

The pattern we seem to have been getting from gen 3 on is normal animals that turn into prehistoric animals (bulbasaur and chikorita dont look like normal animals at all but I'm pretty sure the designers were just doing stuff at random until gen 3. Also snivy is backwards since its evolution is based on the real evolution of snakes, making its first form the prehistoric one and its final form modern but this may be due to the "soft reboot" design philosophy of gen 5). With that in mind grookey is probably going to turn into a caveman.

False. Charmander isnt really a salamander, that's just an envellishment of the English version. The original Japanese name, hitokage, just means fire lizard. Also bulbasaur isnt a frog it's a prehistoric mammal-like reptile.
