XY<BW2<OrAs/RSE<BW<Pt<SM<<HGSS<RBY/FrLg<DP<GSC
>XY lets you get basically something of every type before the third gym
>BW2 gives you a lot more early game than BW
>Hoenn games put a few thing too late but fine otherwise
>BW gives you a lot around the 2nd gym, also seasons can alter encounter rates but some are locked late game/too much to evolve
>Pt adds a few new mons which makes it far easier and lets you get some mons far earlier, only thing is somethings are missing
>SM is pretty good for the first half but the third island+ basically is just wingull and yungoos lines
>Safari zone lets you get a lot of things.Stil some stupid shit like snesal and some items.Useless to get anything from kanto due to level gap
>Early game is pretty bad but you get a lot after giving the drinks to the guards, too many poisons and normals
>DP doesn't have many options for most of the game due to low encounter rates
>GSC mons are underleved,rare,and/or version exclusives. Over seven mons are postgame only

A reminder that postgame starts after you beat Red in GSC.

Also I'd separate C from GS, if only because of the egg you get from the Daycare couple.
Also I'd put ORAS over RSE, if only because it expanded the dex a fair bit.

Literally most pokemon in both are water types (and pure ones are that) and have no fire types. Even worst DP has a shit ton of trade item ones and GS has a shit ton in the post game like houndour and tyrannitar and trade evos.

DP and GSC as many have said, I think HGSS was a slight improvement with the safari zone both existing and being available before the champion (although it's still the most gimmicky and useless safari zone in the series). Also pokewalker is a thing I guess.

Explain, you can get Heracross and Aipom as soon as you get Headbutt, you can also get Dunsparce really early as well. Flaafy and Wooper are excellent and the Togepi egg is also very early, not to mention the other egg you get before Goldenrod. It's very easy to make a team of good all Gen 2 Pokemon if you're willing to find them.

DP is significantly worse since it frontloads the early routes with Gen 1 garbage like Geodude, Machop and Psyduck. Nearly every single person who played through PT had a Luxray and Staraptor on their team because those are some of the literal only good Gen 4 Pokemon you can get till you're at the Eterna forest.

Probably DP, it's near impossible to get special attackers there and some types are just missing like Fire. GS is on honorable mention though since its distribution was fine but being a total repeat of Kanto mons with Johto mons being almost entirely secret and hidden or locked to post game kills it.

B/W. The start is only filled with uninteresting shitmons and there's too many mons that evolve at the E4 or later. There's not that many decent special attackers either, I pretty much always default to the starter or Lilligant because there isn't much else worth bothering with.

DP definitely. GS has it's issues with stone evos and very samey Johto mons, but at least there's some worthwhile stuff and if you're willing to use Kanto mons there's a few useful options. All 3 Sinnoh games load you with gen 1 mons right at the start, some of the most overused ones of the lot as well (Geodude and Zubat mainly but also Abra and Gastly), while locking most new mons to complete RNG, like honey trees or great marsh. Also there's a lot of version exclusive stuff which hinders team building even more, even in Platinum where 4 lines are just missing. Platinum does get better once you beat Jupiter's Skuntank as that's where the variety of stuff added to the dex begins to really shine through but it never gets much better in DP.
