Despite the fact that the Switch Lite has more processing power to accommodate for the fact that it won't be displaying on a TV and needs to be 1080p on a handheld, meaning it's actually more powered than the Switch in handheld mode.

Battery last longer than a normal Switch, so I highly doubt that's the case, specially when there's no TV output and the screen is smaller.

But that's what they are doing. The E3 gameplay and trailers are in 1080p@30fps and the handheld mode will be in 720p because it's part of the spec.
