Base Blaziken can run scarfs all day but can he, survive an EQ? Waterfall? Aerialate quick attack? With speed boost this doesn't matter too much cuz you can then also baton pass out or use protect and something else besides scarf
Same goes for the other two variants of greninja cuz even though protean doesn't give you an extra mega, it lets just go without gimmicks and worrying about getting a kill
