Has to be fire. Heat is a form of radiation, and heat is clearly fire-related in Pokemon - Heatran, Heat Wave, Heat Crash, etc.

There aren't enough hours in a day to describe your stupidity and lack of comprehension in the thread, so I shall describe what they meant.
Freeze dry is a ice move. It is strong on water. Ice is weak on water. This move is poison. Poison is not strong on steel. This move is strong on steel.

Then some pokemon would be immune but also absorb it due to having bodies with steel parts thus acquiring death auras like the abandoned vechiles at chernobyl. While you may like the idea of pokemon like Bisharp or Lucario becoming like lepers who can’t interact with their friends again I find that too horrific!

Yes its bone rush which is considered special dmg because of the nature of the attack, its not a ground based attack but one delivered via club

Why not both? Spread some moves across both types. It could be similar to how sound isn't a type, but there's a few sound-flavored moves across types.

Holy shit I thought my simple explanation was enough for your skull. I don't remember exactly which one, but it's either Thousand Arrows or Thousand Waves. One of them prevents escape, and the other hits flying types. Both are ground type exclusives of Zygarde.

Either way they change the method of delivery of the damage from the ground to a blunt object like a bone or a projectile like an arrow, its considered special damage. Now how do you do that with poison against creature immune to all forms of poisoning including conceivably radiation? Heat? Then why not make it fire or electric rather than poison?

No. Its the fact you are trying to poison dmg something immune to poison dmg. The dmg needs to change to hurt some like Bisharp.
