the difference is that digimon has been supporting the x-antibody line since 2003, while gigantamax will be discarded and replaced by some other retarded gimmick in gen 9.

Megas aren't temporary forms and can come in a wide range of sizes, which makes it an entirely seperate concept altogether.

WarGreymon shrinks from MetalGreymon and MarinAngemon is as small as a Rookie.

Also if this speaks of the X-Antibody, Minervamon shrinks.
