What is the appeal of single type pokemon, and pokemon that don't evolve/only evolve once?? I'm genuinely curious, as I don't understand.

What's the point of rolycoly evolving twice if it gets uglier each time? But hey at least it's dual type!!

Monotypes are boring I agree.
But non evolving Pokemon can be cool if they look fully evolved.
