Power Spots are large groups of said Wishing Stars that are in specific parts of the region, i.e. major cities and the Wild Area
When Eternatus landed, it spread its energy causing dozens of Pokémon to suddenly Dynamax unwillingly and attacked Galar, which was called the Darkest Day, and it was stopped by the former Kings of Galar who teamed up with Zacian and Zamazenta, who sealed Eternatus away in Hammerlocke.
Chairman Rose began work as a miner in the Galar Mines, and once he discovered his own Wishing Star, he started developing businesses that could profit off of these chunks of energy that can develop Galar into a greater region. During those times, he enlisted the help of Professor Magnolia who was also studying the Dynamax Phenomenon which is projections of the Pokémon’s energy created from the energy given off by the Wishing Stars. Eventually Rose found the sealed Eternatus and turned its seal into a generator while turning Hammerlocke Castle into a Power Plant, which made the energy output insane, allowing Rose to develop Galar into a paradise
Around this time, when Leon, Sonia, Piers, and Nessa were 10 years old, Rose recreated the Gym Challenge to include Dynamax, with Leon pioneering Dynamax Battles to which he was endorsed and then became Champion.
