In my opinion, if you want it, you gotta exploit farm it yourself. Or if someone's kind enough, they can host it for you and then at the end just close the game and let everyone else finish. You all would have a chance to catch it and the host will keep the raid. The host simply won't have the chance to catch it is all.

Finally got Dreadnaw from someone else's raid. Ended up with a 4* One (so Lv 50 / only 4 IVs). It's definitely possible but took several days of just doing raids, and he's by far the most common raid.

The AI teams sometimes ruin things, but I can get by through most 1-4 star raids just fine (level 5 can be a struggle and come down to luck) and that's just with pokemon I raised during the game. Seems the problem may have more to do with your movesets, not taking advantage of Dynamax properly, etc.

Not to mention the low level raids don't even use barriers and you can literally one-shot them.

It can help to reset though, since some of the AI partners are better than others.

Raids actually stop your multi-hit moves from doing damage after a few hits. Skill link Cloyster pretty much gets stopped from taking out anything 4 times weak to ice by that weird system in one turn.

This sadly. You can pretty much just put specs or band on something that is strong against whatever you are fighting and then spam one move. Super effective hits don't even matter if you are lvl 100. Every turn not using an attack is pretty much wasted unless you really needed to heal to prevent a wipe. Even boosting moves are pointless since the giant Pokemon will reset your buffs after a short time.

Drednaw is one of the best Swift Swimmers in the game no doubt. If you’re using Drednaw outside of a rain team you’re doing it wrong. G-Max Drednaw’s signature move sets up rocks while damaging something in the process so I’d say it’s better than Dynamax Drednaw which just sets up rain. And setting up rain again is a bit redundant since you already have a primary rain setter with a Damp Rock that makes rain last quite a while.
