I am thinking of buying an English version of Pokemon.
The product of this image was sold on a site called Mercari, is it real?

See if you can get a photo of the underside of them, the part that slots into the gba, and look for a nintendo mark. I remember that being a clear sign that indicated authenticity.

There are no photos that clearly show the outlet.
But there is Back Side Photo.

I think the color of sapphire is clearly pale.

The Emerald looks suspect - it's The Pokemon Company logo on the front and the Nintendo logo on the back that looks suspect to me. Same with the Leafgreen game - the sticker on the front looks off and the Nintendo logo on it is wrong.

Nope, fake, you can tell from the Gameboy Advance Text above the logo, it's font is slightly off, basically, whenever you see "all games" being sold, unless they are marked down as genuine and have all of the markings of a genuine copy, don't buy it 95% of the time, they are fake anon.

nah son, Emerald should have a "scaly" reflection to it, look up real carts and you'll see what I mean. If there's a retro market nearby that's your best bet. Online I couldn't find a legit cart below £50, at the retro market I got a boxed Emerald for £35. Good luck, king.

problem is they're not guaranteed to work, there's a known bug with fakes where the save file wipes after defeating the elite 4. Plus you don't want to give ching chongs any money.

They'll work sure, but bootleg copies aren't recognised by the later generations pal park, meaning you can't trade up pokemon, if you don't care about that though, they do functionally work fine otherwise.

Though they have been known to have problems, depending on the chinks who manufactured them, it's basically a toss up, you might as well get a genuine copy, it's cheap and you KNOW they'll work just fine.

The Japanese version of Pokemon is basically cheap and has almost no bootleg, so I was trying to buy an overseas version of Pokemon with the same feeling.

I mean, the Chinese do produce them on occasion, but you could try purchasing a euro copy instead, they aren't as mass produced by those dirty chinese like the American copies are, just never buy into "all copies for a cheap price" you won't ever find anything like that without them all being bootlegs.

Utterly fake. I bought some boxed gen 3 games on ebay recently, you have to sift through the garbage. Red flags are: images that contain all 5 gen 3 games next to each other, images with any kind of stickers on them, just shit like in pic related.

The ones i found on ebay were all legit, granted i had to pay extra for them, but they can transfer to gen 4, and i replaced the batteries in them. Just be smart.

Check the inside overall, the label can be easily faked
>a lot of white dots
>no battery (for RSE)
>chinese names on motherboard
>wrong trademark (each gen 3 game has a different code)
If you can, buy from sellers who show the inside of the cartridge, or show it migrating to Gen 4 games

The EZ-Flash does everything the Everdrive does for cheaper, the singular problem it has though is when saving, you have to make SURE you wait a few seconds afterwards before turning off your system, otherwise it could corrupt your data, keep that in mind, but otherwise, practically the same as an everdrive in function.
